Our Story

How it all started...

The assembly at Trott Brook Hall is, to the best of our knowledge, the oldest continuous Christian gathering in the city of Ramsey MN. We trace our beginning to 1898 when a speaker connected to the international "brethren" movement visited Minnesota and brought his message to some farm families North of Anoka.

Meetings were initially held in individuals' homes. By the early 1900s the group moved into a small farmhouse at our current location. Later the assembly purchased an unused schoolhouse West of Nowthen Boulevard, naming it Trott Brook Gospel Hall. In the 1940's the assembly returned to the enlarged farmhouse; building additions were made in 1986 and 2018. Nothing remains of the original building but the roofline.

We seek to have no head but Christ and meet to His name alone. We recognize the priesthood of all believers and encourage the spiritual gifts of everyone in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Current ministries include weekly Sunday School classes for young & old, Vacation Bible School, multiple international missions, annual youth & adult retreats, bi-weekly Kids Serving Others, and Living Word Bible Camp in Northern Minnesota.
