Wednesday Night Small Groups

Starting September 10, we are planning to start an 8 week trial of a new format for Wednesday night prayer and Bible study.  The intent is to meet in small groups in order to:
  • Form closer connections as you get to know the people in your group and share personal insights and prayer requests.
  • Increase participation, both in prayer and Bible discussions.
  • Allow for more flexible topics. We will start on the same study for the first 8 weeks. but groups can look at different directions after that.
Feel free to to invite friends who do not attend Trott Brook. This is open to everyone.

Story of the Bible
Our first 8 weeks will be spent on a Genesis to Revelation tour of the Bible, designed for brand new believers but profitable for all. Participants will read short Bible passages and complete simple worksheets during the week, then discuss questions on Wednesday night.

Schedule
Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:15pm at Trott Brook Hall
7:00 Meet in main room - prayer requests, verify that everyone knows what group they are in, assign new people to a group
7:10 Go to small groups
  • Pray (each group can decide if they are comfortable with men and women praying out loud together)
  • Topical/Bible study led by a prepared leader
8:05 Meet in the main room to share thoughts, pray
8:15 Finished

Will there be a class for teenagers?
Yes!
Can I bring children?
Yes! There will be classes or babysitting for all ages. We understand if people with small children need to leave before 8:15. Come and stay as long as it works for your family. 
Will classes be on Zoom?
Each group will be prepared to do a Google Meet video call for people unable to attend in person.
What happens after the first 8 weeks?
We will have a 1-2 week break with prayer meetings only to evaluate and adjust if needed. There will also be breaks for holidays.
How do I join a group?
Just complete the form below by August 27. Groups will be assigned with designated leaders. Every September the groups will reset so you can get to know others in the assembly better.
